My fortrest of solitude is the forest
Unlike Superman’s crystals from his planet
Yet revive me it does best
Like the man of steel’s when he needed rest.
My fortress of solitude is better than crystals
With multitude of colors unlike the brightest whites
Who needs the sparkles when imagination runs wild?
My sanctuary is a kaleidoscope, colors white to black as night.
My fortress is better than Superman’s cave
Imagination wild, there are fairies I need to save
Like a child’s playground I run and play
And I can invite Superman if I want it that way.
I realize that I need solitude today; I realized it last night. And then, just now, I read your poem. Just what I needed not to feel guilty about staying in.
Most cordially, Celia

Of course not. We deserve rest every now and then.
Thanks for stopping by.
